Joyce Faye Locklear

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Joyce Faye Thompson Locklear, age 77 of  3945 D. Hwy 701 S., died Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Graveside Funeral Service will be 10:00AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens, Smithfield, NC. Officiating will be Rev. James Murray.           Mrs. Locklear was born on September 5, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Willie and Nellie Faircloth Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Locklear and her brothers, Hubert Thompson and Ben Thompson. Mrs. Locklear was a retired assembler and supervisor in the medical industry.  She loved her family, her grandchildren and her rose gardens.           Surviving include her daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa L. and Chad Matthews of Four Oaks, four grandchildren, Joshua Locklear Barbour, Laura Brooke Barbour, James Reid Barbour and Haley Renee Matthews; sisters, Merlene Toole and husband, Thomas of Four Oaks and Lois King and husband, Dorsey of Clayton; several nieces and nephews.           The Family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery on Tuesday.           Condolences may be sent to www.roseandgraham.com           Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC 27524.
