Joyce Laylon Turlington Ogburn

Coats, NC: Mrs. Joyce Laylon Turlington Ogburn, age 90, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at Universal Health Care in Lillington. A Private Graveside Service will be held by the family at Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn. Officiating will be Rev. Lestor Bledsoe.             Mrs. Ogburn was born in Harnett County to the late Henry Arthur Turlington, Sr. and Mary Laylon Parrish Turlington.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hunter Ogburn; her sisters and brothers, Alease Barbee, Wade B. Turlington, Mabel Hayes, H. A. Turlington, Jr., an infant, Graham Turlington. Mrs. Ogburn was a homemaker and member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving include her children, Gloria Barbour and husband, Ronald of Benson, Charles D. Ogburn of Waynesville, NC, Su Lou Wellons and husband, Robert P. “Bobby” of Linden, NC; grandchildren, Leigh Thompson and husband, Seth, Lauren W. White, Whitney Greene and husband, Billy; great-grandchildren, Hunter Thompson, Morgan Thompson, Taylor Thompson, Mason White, Maddox White, Jordan Greene, Vivian Greene, Dylan Greene; sisters, Bobbie Adams and husband, Fred of Raleigh, Susie Mewborn of Coats; many nieces and nephews. Due to the current health concerns the family understands you are not able to join them for the graveside service. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
