Judith Ann McLean Daniel

Coats, NC: Mrs. Judith Ann McLean Daniel, age 81, of Coats passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Autumn Care in Raeford. Funeral Services will be held-11:00 AM Friday, February 28, 2025 at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church in Coats. Rev. Dr. Johnny Sexton will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier. 

Mrs. Daniel was born on November 29, 1943 in Wake County to the late Lonnie Wade and Macie Lou Wagner McLean. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Graham Daniel and her brother, Homer Allen McLean. Prior to retirement she worked in the Radiology Department at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Mrs. Daniel was a faithful member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church and loved her Lord. You could find her on Sundays being picked up by her sister-in-law, Margie Daniel, that was more like a sister headed to spend time together with their church family. She was a talented crocheter who crocheted every grandchild a special baby blanket and she also used her talent to donate hundreds of crocheted blankets over the years to Harvest Ministries who provided them to children in need. Her favorite memory was to tell her family how she met her husband while roller skating and he never officially asked her out on a date but instead asked through mutual friends and the rest was history. Mrs. Daniel loved to weed her garden, eat her favorite food, a simple ham sandwich, and loved Pepsi Cola. She will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Charles Herman Daniel, Sherry Lynn Daniel Hayes, Wendy Renee Daniel Crawford, Johnny Wade Daniel, and Martha Elizabeth Daniel Olsen; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church in Coats.
