Mrs. Judy Garland Avery Norris, age 74, of 17 TFIJ Lane died Monday at her residence in Lillington. Graveside Services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier. Officiating will be Rev. Jerome Pope and Dr. Jim Cochran.
Mrs. Norris was born on September 25, 1941 in Harnett County to the late Garland and Evelyn Poole Avery. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Granville Avery. Mrs. Norris was a retired self-employed cosmetologist and homemaker.
Surviving are husband of fifty-nine years, Fleming Norris; children and spouses, Michael and Joy Norris and David and Miranda Norris all of Coats; sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Lynwood Massengill of Erwin; brothers and sister-in-law, Tony Avery of Erwin and Terry and Rose Avery of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Anthony Norris, Stephen Norris, Makayla Norris and Jaxon Norris; great-grandchildren, Preston Norris, Aaliyah Norris and Anthony Norris, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Thursday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home
