Katie Byrd

Angier, NC: Mrs. Katie Lou Bowling Byrd age 72 of 2013 Stephenson Rd. died Saturday at her residence. A Graveside Service will be 2:00PM Tuesday at the Byrd Family Cemetery. Officiating will be Revs. R.B. Parrish and Billy Keene.  Mrs. Byrd was born December 13, 1939 in Johnston County to the late Roy and Onnie Smith Bowling. She was also preceded in death by a Brother, Robert Bowling, and Sisters, Mattie Elliott, Roselie Stallings, Ellen Whitlow, Ivadare “Weenie” Lee, and Doris Pleasant. She was a homemaker and attended Coats Community Church. Surviving include her Husband of 54 years, Garner Byrd; Son & Daughter-In-Law, Ronnie Ray & Goldie Byrd of Benson; Daughter & Son-In-Law, Connie & Kevin Ingram of Four Oaks; Grandson, Chad Ray Creech; Sisters, Lucille Warner of Michigan, Betty Gregory of Angier, Gladys Watkins of Florida, and Carolyn McGee of Benson.
