Angier, NC: Mrs. Kay Barnes Wiggins, age 78, of 2064 County Line Road died Monday at her residence. Funeral Service will be 7:00PM-Friday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Dr. Jim Cochran and Mrs. Brenda Horne. Graveside Service will be 11:00AM-Saturday at Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wiggins was born May 27, 1937 in Harnett County to the late Dennis and Nellie Moore Barnes. She was preceded in death by sons, James Leon Johnson, Jr. and Ron Christopher Wiggins; daughter, Rita J. Pollard; and grandparents, Nassie and Evelyn Barnes, who raised Kay. Mrs. Wiggins worked as an administrative assistant with the state government and was also a member of Coats United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of forty-eight years, Ronald R. Wiggins; son, Dennis Wiggins of Benson, step-son & step-daughter-in-law, Michael and Patricia Wiggins of Wilmington; sisters, Sheila Suggs of Selma and Janie Figueroa of New Bern; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Brenda and Bobby Horne of Benson, Joann and Kenneth Dennis of Dunn; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson following the service and other times at the home.
