Clayton, NC: Mr. Kenneth Lawrence Dupree, age 82, of 145 Dairy Road, died Sunday, at The Clayton House in Clayton. Graveside services will be 2:00PM-Thursday at Oakland Heights Cemetery in Smithfield, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Lucas.
Mr. Dupree was born March 15, 1932 to the late Joseph Alton. and Annie Beasley Dupree. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Edward Dupree and James Curtis Dupree. Mr. Dupree's legacy is a life of hard work and service to others. Family and friends admired his devotion to his family, the long years of care he provided for elderly and disabled members, and his helpfulness to his neighbors and friends. There are many who will never forget how dependable he was and how quickly he rendered help when it was sorely needed. The family expresses deep appreciation to all at the Clayton House and Community Home Care and Hospice for the devotion and loving care given to Kenneth. The extreme kindness of their staffs truly gave an element of unexpected richness and comfort to his declining years.
Surviving are wife, Sarah Catherine B. Dupree of Universal Heath Care, Lillington; Sisters, Ellen D. Flemming of Clayton and Joyce Hildebrand of Hendersonville; Brother, Dewey B. Dupree of Kenly; Sister-in-law, Helen M. Dupree. Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks 12:30PM-1:30PM Thursday prior to the service.
