Clayton, NC: Mr. Kenneth Roger Tart, age 68, of Clayton died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Pat Chisenhall. Burial will follow in the Coats City Cemetery.
Mr. Tart was born May 21, 1945 in Durham County to the late Durwood and Helen Ellis Tart. Mr. Tart was also preceded in death by his Son, Barry Tart, and a Grandson, Joshua Tart. He had retired as warehouse manager for the Farm Bureau Federation. He also served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Abundant Life Worship Center, and the Banner Post 109 American Legion.
Surviving include, Wife, LaRue Williams Tart; Children & Spouse, Angie Tart of Clayton, Roger Tart of Angier, Clint & Stacy Honeycutt of Winston-Salem, and Eddie Johnson of Jacksonville; Sister & Spouse, Kay & Hensley Scott of Clayton; Grandchildren, Heather Tart, Michael Baker, Gabbie Johnson, and Tyler Honeycutt; and Great Granddaughter, Shae Tart.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats 6:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday, June 2, 2013, and at other times at the home of Danny & Jenny Pollard, 6187 NC HWY 27 East, Coats.
