Kenneth West

Benson, NC:  Mr. Kenneth Miles West age 71 of 1208 Guy Ave., Dunn, formerly of Benson, died Monday at his residence. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Thursday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. James David Tart. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery with military honors. Mr. West was born March 31, 1940 in Johnston County to the late Wilmon and Hettie Parker West. He retired from the US Army in 1979. Mr. West served in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal for his service. He was a member of the Banner Post 109 American Legion, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church. Surviving include his wife. Floriee Johnson West; Children & Spouses, Kenneth Scott West of Clinton; Rhonda & Ricky Herring of Benson; and Sherry & Dale Baker of Four Oaks; Sisters, Edna Sorrell of Lillington and Faye Denton of Buies Creek; Five Grandchildren, and Three Great Grandsons. Family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
