Benson, NC: Mr. Kenneth Kimball Killebrew, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina.             Kenneth was born August 5, 1937 in Nash County, North Carolina to Marcus Lee Killebrew and Blanche Quincy Killebrew Starling.  He was married to Brenda Neighbours Killebrew.  Kenneth was a music educator/band director for over thirty years.  He was a founding member of the Benson Little Theatre in Benson, North Carolina where he served as music director as well as an actor.  Kenneth is best known for his roles as the Cowardly Lion in “The Wizard of Oz” and as Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol”.  Kenneth also was a member of the Benson Baptist Church.             Kenneth is survived by his son Brian and daughter-in-law, Robin, of Raleigh, NC and grandson, Gavin.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Blanche, half-sisters Mary Killebrew Thompson and Lucy Killebrew Manning, half-brothers Garland Walker, Frank Killebrew, Roy Killebrew, and Lewis Killebrew, and his wife, Brenda in 2015.             Due to COVID-19, the immediate family will have a private ceremony.  Arrangements by the Cremation Society of the Carolinas and by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
