Coats, NC: Mr. Lamas Floyd Denning, age 87, of 809 Johnston County Road died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Universal Health Care in Lillington. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Warren Bock. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Mr. Denning was born September 4, 1924 in Harnett County to the late Floyd and Tempie Dixon Denning. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Adams Denning, sisters, Clara Dupree and Thessie Daniel; and brothers, Festus Denning, Junius Denning, and Truman Denning. Mr. Denning was a farmer and member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. Surviving include Daughter & Son-In-Law, Rhonda and Randy Stephenson of Coats; Son, Gary Denning of Angier; Grandchildren & Spouses, Kurt & Christy Stephenson, Justin & Stephanie Denning, and Brandon Denning; Great Grandchildren, Arabella Grigley, Flynn Stephenson, and Rollins Denning. Family will receive friends from 9:30AM to 10:30AM Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats prior to the service. Flowers are welcomed; however memorials may be made to Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Building Fund, 2150 Crawford Road, Coats, NC  27521 or to one’s favorite charity.
