Laura Adams

Mrs. Laura Lee Blalock Adams, age 94, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Oak Hill Assisted Living Center in Angier, NC.  Graveside Funeral Services will be 11:00AM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Willow Spring, NC.  Revs. Doug Slater and Carol McCartney will officiate.  Mrs. Adams was born in Wake County, NC on January 2, 1927 to the late Lee Jackson and Coonie Rebecca Fish Blalock.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Adams, brother, Alvin Jackson Blalock and a sister, Lynda Smith.  Mrs. Adams retired from Westinghouse with 25 years of service.  She was a lifetime member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Willow Spring, NC and Holland Chapter of the Eastern Star.   Surviving include her son, Dennis Adams and wife, Bonnie; daughter, Wanda Jernigan and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Denise Ellis and husband, Jarvis; and Susan Adams-Stephenson and husband, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Koler Ellis, Graci Stephenson, Nash Ellis and Calli Jo Stephenson; sister, JoAnn Kilbourne; many nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Adams will be available for viewing in the church sanctuary of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Willow Spring, NC, while the family receives friends in the fellowship hall from 9:45AM-10:45AM, Monday, March 15, 2021.   The family wishes to thank the staff of Oak Hill Assisted Living Center in Angier, NC, and Community Hospice for their loving care shown to Mrs. Adams.  Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 8001 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Willow Spring, NC 27592 or to Community Hospice Care, 12341 S.
