Coats, NC:  Mrs. Laura Thomas Betts, age 73, of 144 West Washington Street died Friday, July 27, 2012, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Graveside funeral services will be 3:00PM Monday, July 30, 2012, at Coats City Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jesse Mooney.   Mrs. Betts was born October 11, 1938 in Colorado to the late Lloyd and Genevra Williams Thomas.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Woodman; and brothers, James Arthur Thomas and Daniel Lloyd Thomas.  She was a retail manager and a homemaker.  Surviving are Husband, Curtis Allen Betts; Daughters & Spouses, Nona Betts of Coats, Brookie & Buddy Ferguson of Coats, Kitty Betts of Coats, and Tami & Billy Signal of Wade; Sisters & Spouses, Pansy & Ray Cook, Peggy McClellan, and Joyce & Warren Kless, all of Colorado; Grandchildren & Spouses, Tanner Ferguson, Timmy & Celeste Ward, Nancie & Jamie Hood, Danny Ward, Patrick & ChiChi Betts, Elijah Doyle, and John Curtis Elliott; and 7 Great Grandchildren.  Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday, July 29, 2012. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
