Laura P. Hay

Angier, NC: Mrs. Laura P. Hay, age 77, of Penny Road passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Funeral Services will be at 3:00PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the Johnson Memorial Church Cemetery at Overflow Church in Angier. Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.         

Mrs. Hay was born on August 31, 1945 in Johnston County to the late John Herman and Velma Lee Adams. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Penny and Paul Hay; brothers, Raeford Adams and Jerry Adams. Mrs. Hay retired from North Carolina Crime Control and Public Safety where she worked as a claims examiner. She was a member of Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Benson.              

Surviving include her children, Paula Parker and husband, Troy; Paige Byrd and husband, Troy all of Benson; Tanya Hay and Tammy H. Thomas both of Florida; grandchildren, Madison Byrd Clifton and husband, Brett, Reagan Byrd, Kennedy Byrd, Caleb Parker, Seth Parker, Adam Fields, Dalton Thomas, and Amber Thomas; great granddaughter, Taylor Fields; sisters, Joyce Raynor of Nashville, TN and Maurine Adams of Angier; several nieces and nephews.    

Mrs. Hay will be available for viewing on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.

Flowers are welcomed; however; memorials may be made to Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, c/o Rachel Denning, P.O. Box 442 Benson, NC 27504 or to one's favorite charity.
