Smithfield:  Mrs. Leta Grey Stephenson Benson, age 84, of 250 NC HWY 210, passed away on Sunday at Meadowview Assisted Living Center.  Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks.  Burial will follow in Hills of The Neuse Memory Gardens.  Officiating will be Rev. Jesse Brock. Mrs. Benson was born on August 10, 1932 in Johnston County to the late Charlie and Myrtle Capps Stephenson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Benson, son, William Edwin Eudy, step-daughter, Gail Williams, step-granddaughter, Dianna Aycock and sisters, Geneva Ennis, Dot Strickland, Ann Wright and Alice Gray.   Mrs. Benson was a retired farmer and homemaker.  She was a member of Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church.    Surviving are; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Gary Johnson of Four Oaks; and Sharon and Holger Johann of Mebane; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Judy Aycock of Smithfield; four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; sister, LaRue Baltzigler of Durham; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 11:45 AM-12:45 PM Tuesday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home of Susan and Gary Johnson, 2494 Old School Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
