Leta Gray Creech

Benson, NC: Mrs. Leta Gray Johnson Creech, age 78, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Rex Healthcare surrounded by her loving family.  Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Benson, NC.  Rev. Darren Brisco and Rev. Jerry Peacock will officiate. 

Mrs. Creech was born on March 10, 1946 in Johnston County, NC to the late Alton B. Johnson and Estella Beasley Johnson.   She was also preceded in death by her step-children, Travis Creech, Jonathon Creech and Kathy Bush, brothers, Edward Johnson, Herbert Lee Johnson, Melvin C. Johnson, and J.C. Johnson.   Mrs. Creech along with her family worked together at Creech’s Fruit and Produce in Goldsboro, NC next to Wilbur’s BBQ.    She was also a homemaker and member of Unity Advent Christian Church, Four Oaks, NC. She enjoyed cooking and working in her home and yards. 

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James Thomas Creech; son, Timmy Creech and wife, Sara of Goldsboro, NC; grandchildren, Ben, Miranda, Katie, Amy, Amber, Misty, and Christopher; many great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:45PM-2:45PM Wednesday, May 29, 2024 prior to the graveside service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
