Linda Medlin

Clayton, NC: Mrs. Linda Massengill Medlin, age 70, of 206 Muirfield Lane died Sunday, October 14, 2012, in Hilton Head, SC. Funeral services will be 6:00PM Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the Garner Advent Christian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Pritchett, Rev. Joe Brown and Rev. Kenny Latimore. Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Roselawn Cemetery, Benson. Mrs. Medlin was born March 19, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Lee and Inez Tart Massengill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Brantley Medlin. Mrs. Medlin taught English in Johnston County for over 33 years, mostly at Clayton High School. She was a faithful member of the Garner Advent Christian Church and served in many capacities. Surviving include Daughters & Sons-In-Law, Jenny & Robbie Pollock of Garner, and Kim & Scott Smith of Clayton; Son & Daughter-In-Law, Denny & Shannon Medlin of Clayton; Brother & Sister-In-Law, Cliff & Pat Massengill of Fayetteville; and Six Grandchildren, Brantley Pollock, Dawson Medlin, Sawyer Pollock, Mason Medlin, Abby Smith, and Emma Smith. Family will receive friends immediately following the service Tuesday at Garner Advent Christian Church.
