Linda Sue Byrd Johnson

Benson, NC: Mrs. Linda Sue Byrd Johnson, age 82, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at her residence. Funeral Services will be 10:00AM-Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Elevation Global Methodist Church. Rev. Donald Sadler will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. A Private Entombment will follow the family visitation.

Mrs. Johnson was born on April 9, 1943 in Johnston County, NC to the late Hezzie Rueben Byrd and Christine Roberts Byrd. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Fred Thomas Byrd. Mrs. Johnson was a retired supervisor with the North Carolina Department of Revenue individual income tax division in Raleigh, NC, with over 30 years of service. She loved to fish, work in her flower gardens, and shopping. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed doing volunteer work, and working at the voter polls. She was a member of Elevation Global Methodist Church, Benson, NC.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Ronnie Earl Johnson; children, Lisa Johnson Williams, and Danny Byrd Johnson; grandson, Corey Spencer Williams, (Rachel Lynn Grady); great-granddaughter, Charlotte Spencer Williams; and a brother, Terry Craig Byrd (Sherry); sister-in-law, Sue J. Stephenson; many nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcomed; memorials may be made to Elevation Global Methodist Church.
