Linwood Johnson

Four Oaks, NC:  Mr. Linwood “Bo” Johnson age 85 of 1990 Keen Road, passed away Wednesday at the VA Medical Center in Durham. Graveside Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Dicey-Dunn Family Cemetery in Four Oaks with military honors. Officiating will be Rev. George Thomas. Mr. Johnson was born June 18, 1926 in Johnston County to the late Clarence & Sallie Wright Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Thomas Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a watch maker and farmer.  He was a US Army WWII Veteran receiving the Purple Heart for his injuries crossing the Rhine River. Mr. Johnson also received many commemorative medals and was a member of Beulah Hill Christian Church. Surviving include Daughter & Son-in-law; Susan & Rodney Johnson of Raleigh; Sons & Daughter-In-Law, Johnny & Barbara Johnson and David Johnson all of Four Oaks; Grandchildren, Deanna & Jason Barbour, Holly & Anthony Price, Thomas & Yorke Johnson, and Sarah Johnson & Will Whittington; Great-Grandchildren, Eli, Lannah, Jaxon, Lily and Eden;  Sister & Brother-in-law; Dinah & T.G. McLamb of Benson; Brother & Sister-in-law; Erwin & Evelyn Johnson of Raleigh. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 9:00AM to 10:30AM Saturday, February 25, 2012 prior to the graveside service.
