Garner, NC : Mr. Lloyd Cleveland Blackman, age 88 of 1204 Creech Road died Wednesday at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Pastor Eddie White will officiate. Burial will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery in Four Oaks.
Mr. Blackman was born June 15, 1927 in Johnston County to the late John Lewis and Ellen Powell Blackman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William Blackman and James Blackman; sisters, Irene Hill and Evangeline Raynor; and great-granddaughter, Kristin Coats. He was a retired truck driver working with Big Star for thirty-two years and later with Maylon H. Fowler Contracting. Mr. Blackman was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are wife of sixty-five years, Kathleen Rose Blackman; son, Randy Cleveland Blackman of Clayton; daughters, Judy Mae Coats of Four Oaks, and Sonya Rose Blackman of Garner; a brother, Willie Blackman of Four Oaks; sisters, Edith Griffith of Orange City, VA, and Addie Hittie of Four Oaks; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 10:45AM Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
