Lois Allen

February 7, 1934 — August 29, 2016

Four Oaks, NC:  On Monday, August 29, 2016 God reached out to take Lois Allen, age 82, Home with Him.  Funeral services will be Saturday 2:00 P M at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson.  Officiating will be Rev. Mike Courtney.  Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Benson.             Lois was born on February 7, 1934 in Galivant Ferry, SC. She was the daughter of the late E. J.  and Julia M. Owens Roberts.  Lois was also preceded in death by several brothers, Stanford Roberts, Archie Roberts, Bish Roberts, Edwin Roberts and sisters, Edna Sanders, Inez Capps, Vernice Wall and Lorraine Glazebrook; grandsons, Caden Thomas Allen and Jonathan Allen.  She retired from Days Inn in Benson and was a member of Hannah Creek Church. Lois came from a large family of 17 brothers and sisters, along with 14 half-brothers and half-sisters.  Lois was very family oriented, loving all, and like her sisters known for her delicious cooking.                    Lois is survived by her husband of  38 years, John Eugene Allen, sons and daughters-in-law, John Marion and Janet C. Funderburk of Greensboro; Timmy and Barbara Allen of Willow Spring; Curtis and Cindy Allen of Dunn; Joe and Janice Allen of Benson; and Ivey and Imogene Allen of Erwin; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Manske of Fayetteville;  Roberta Lewis of Fuquay Varina; and Annabelle Routhzigger of Fayetteville; and brother, Levon Roberts Aynor, SC; many nieces and nephews.             To her church family, neighbors and friends we would like to thank you for all the kind deeds and great food that you have donated during her down times.  To all her family, brother, sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, you were always in her heart, everyday and she loved you very much.                 The family will receive friends 12:45 PM - 1:45PM Saturday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
