Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Lois Mae Blackmon Browning, age 83 died Thursday at Smithfield Manor in Smithfield. Funeral Service will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Barbour's Chapel Advent Christian Church, Four Oaks. Rev. Ricky Byrd will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Browning was born on May 2, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Jessie and Bertie Blackmon. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Clint Browning; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Hinnant; sisters, Viola Turnage, Etheare Johnson, Rutha Johnson, Gladys Allen, and Eunice Jackson; brothers, Clifton Blackmon, Gilbert Blackmon, and R.B. Blackmon. Mrs. Browning was a quality inspector for C & K Components and was a member of Barbour's Chapel Advent Christian Church of Four Oaks.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, William D. Browning, Sr.; daughter, Cathy Webb and husband, Donald; son, William D. Browning Jr. and wife, Teresa; twin sister, Joyce Johnson all of Four Oaks; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Sunday at Barbour's Chapel Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks.
