Benson: Mrs. Lorine Smith Lee, age 83, of 380 Monroe Lane died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Benson. Graveside Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Monroe Lee Cemetery.  Rev. Robert Capps will officiate. Mrs. Lee was born July 19, 1928 in Johnston County to the late Charlie and Dezzie Moore Smith.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Smith Hobbs and a brother, C. B. Smith.  Mrs. Smith worked at Block Industries textile factory and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.  She is survived by husband, Jasper Pete “J. P.” Lee; son, Jasper Pete Lee, Jr., and wife, Kristie, of Benson; grandchildren, Jasper Pete Lee, III and Kathryn Lee; and brother, Harold Smith of Raleigh. Family will receive friends at the home, 380 Monroe Lane, Benson, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday, June 4, 2012. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
