Lorraine "Dinah" McLamb

Benson, NC: Mrs. Lorraine “Dinah” McLamb, age 92, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Brunswick Health and Rehab in Ash, NC. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Benson Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Lawrence Powers. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. 

Mrs. McLamb was born on June 15, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Jerry Clarence and Sallie Wright Johnson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1^st husband, Roy Haywood Jones; her 2^nd husband, T.G. McLamb; son, Van Haywood Jones; brothers, Ben Johnson, Irwin Johnson, Bo Johnson, Tommy Johnson; and sisters, Betty Marcellus and Doris Parrish. Mrs. McLamb was a homemaker and a member of Benson Baptist Church. She had a passion for gardening, especially her roses, loved to do jigsaw puzzles, and cooked Sunday Dinner for her family every week for several years. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. 

Survivors include her daughters, Diane MacRae and husband, Jim and Vicky Slone and significant other, Jim Burlin; daughter-in-law, Tonya Jones; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 6704. Hagerstown, MD 21741. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM -1:45 PM prior to the service at Benson Baptist Church.
