Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Louise Byrd Allen age 81 of 1621 Lee's Union Church Road died Tuesday at her residence.  Funeral services will be 3:00PM Friday, October 4, 2013 at  Piney Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Four Oaks. Officiating will be  Rev. Sherwood Lassiter, Rev. Bennie Smith, and Rev. Floyd Turlington. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Allen was born April 13, 1932 in Johnston County to the late Willie Haywood "Dock" & Ola Higgins Byrd. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by husband, Delbert "Buck" Allen, a son, Daniel Lee Allen, sisters, Rachel Byrd Grissom, Nellie Womack, & Joyce Murphy. She was a retired Nurse's Aid at Johnston Memorial Hospital for 22 years and a homemaker. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Piney Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Four Oaks American Legion 346 Ladies Auxiliary.   Surviving include a Daughter, Norma Jean Blackmon of Clayton; Sons, Delbert Allen, Jr. of Four Oaks, Dennis "Sam" Allen of Erwin, David Phil Allen of Four Oaks, & Charles Van Allen of Dunn; Sister, Elouise Snead of Youngsville, a Sister-In-Law, Retha Mae Hudson of Four Oaks;  Nineteen Grandchildren and Twenty Eight Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 3, 2013 from  6:00PM to 8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Piney Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist  Church Ladies Auxiliary 9381 B US HWY 301 S. Four Oaks, NC 27524 or to the Four Oaks American Legion 346 Ladies Auxiliary C/O Linda Harper 2805 Lassiter Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
