Louise Bryant Clifton

Benson, NC: Mrs. Louise Bryant Clifton, age 103 passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at The Laurels of Forest Glenn in Garner surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in the Benson City Cemetery. Officiating will be Evangelist David Morris. The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:30PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.

Mrs. Clifton was born on November 17, 1921 in Harnett County, NC to the late Charles Frank and Vinnie Mae Coleman Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lonnie Clifton; a son, David Eugene Clifton; sister and brothers, Lucille Coats, Jack Bryant, Ernest Bryant, Sammy Bryant, and Billy Bryant. Mrs. Clifton enjoyed working in her gardens, canning fruits and vegetables, and could cook a great meal. She grew up on a farm and loved living the farming life.

Surviving are her son, Donald Ray Clifton and wife, Cathey of Benson; daughter-in-law, Reba Savage Clifton of Benson; granddaughter, Tracy Quillen and husband, Thomas of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Carrie Lynn Goodson and Thomas “T.J.” Quillen, Jr.; sister, Ruby Schmidt of Oceanside, California; several nieces and nephews.
