Coats, NC: Mrs. Mary Louise (Ease) Senter Jackson, age 88, of Coats passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh from complications of a fall at her home on January 9, 2013. A funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats. Rev. Jesse Mooney will officiate. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson was the oldest born to the late Herman and Ophelia Austin Senter in Harnett County on January 3, 1925. She was also preceded in death by Reggi’s father, Reginald “Bill” Gordon Jackson, who she married in 1945, and her brother, Milton Herndon (Buck) Senter. During her career, she worked at the Dunn Dispatch as the Society Editor in Dunn, NC and retired from the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), a department within Harnett County. In addition to her work outside the home, she was an avid southern cook and homemaker.
Surviving are daughter, Regina (Reggi) Jackson Powell and two granddaughters, Ainsley Jackson Powell and Caitlin Jackson Powell, all of Cary. Her whole world centered around her two granddaughters. She is also survived by two younger sisters, Peggy Lee Senter of Coats and Edna Earle Smith of Dunn; and a niece, Rhonda Smith Sinclair of Dunn.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, February 5, 2013 and other times at the home of Peggy Senter, 187 South Railroad Street, Coats.
