Lucille Thornton Kinsey

Benson, NC:  Mrs. Lucille Thornton Kinsey, age 89, of Noah Road, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. Due to COVID-19 the Kinsey Family has chosen Private Entombment Services that will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate.             Mrs. Kinsey was born on May 15, 1931 in Sampson County to the late Raynell and Lela Thornton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Crayton B. Kinsey; sisters, Inez Honeycutt, Marie Barefoot, Brenda Ann Jones; brothers, James Thornton and Jerry Thornton. She retired from Northern Telecom and was a member of Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church. Surviving include her daughter, Debbie Matthews of Benson; son, David C. Kinsey and fiancée, Lori Wilkinson of Stuart, Florida; grandson, Douglas Clint Matthews of Benson; sisters, Gracie Bullock of Clinton, Rachel Herring of Four Oaks, Ada Pearl Massengill of Dunn; brother, John Robert Thornton of Newton Grove; several nieces and nephews.             Mrs. Kinsey  will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book from 12:00 Noon to 5:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 and the family will not be present at this time.
