Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Lydia Pearl McLamb, age 86, of 204 Skyland Dr., Apt. 238. Smithfield, died Thursday at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Sunday at Yelverton Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield. Rev Joe Ballance will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. McLamb was born in Knoxville, TN on January 11, 1929 to the late W.A. and Emma Wolfe Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Carl McLamb, a son, Donald McLamb, a grandson, Andy McLamb and four brothers and three sisters. She retired from Eaton Corporation and was a homemaker. After retirement, Mrs. McLamb was a volunteer with Johnston Memorial Hospital and received her 4000 hour pin.
Surviving are her sons & daughters-in-law, James Larry & Brenda McLamb of Benson, Kevin Andrew & Sandy McLamb of Raleigh; Five Grandchildren; Ten Great-Grandchildren; Five Great Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Frances Miller of Georgia; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 2:00PM to 2:45PM, Sunday at Yelverton Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church, 1094 Yelverton Grove Church Rd. in Smithfield.
