Lynwood Stancil

Benson, NC:  Mr. Lynwood Tyson Stancil, age 71, of 142 Heatherstone Court died Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.  A funeral service will be 11:00AM Monday, February 4, 2013, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home.  Rev. Larry Stancil will officiate.  A private entombment will be in Montlawn Cemetery in Raleigh. Mr. Stancil was born September 9, 1941 in Johnston County to the late William Tyson and Electa Coats Stancil.  He was also preceded in death by sister, Joyce Peacock, and brothers, Wade Stancil and Gerald Stancil.  He was a retired maintenance worker at Hudson Belk. Surviving are wife, Linda Fowler Stancil; daughter & son-in-law, Melinda & Charles “Chip” Smith of Raleigh; Granddaughters, Molly Smith and Haley Smith; and brothers, Joseph Stancil of Oklahoma and James Stancil of Reidsville. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
