Mable McLamb Daughtry

Mrs. Mable Daughtry transitioned from an earthly person to an Angel in Heaven on June 4, 2021 with loving family members by her side. Throughout her blessed life Mrs. Daughtry was a dedicated Disciple of God who cared for and loved all persons in her life. Given her dedication to love and care for all around her, she set an example of a person that truly walked in the footsteps of our Heavenly Father.

Mrs. Daughtry was born on February 10, 1926 as a daughter to the late Lonnie and Idella McLamb. She was preceded in her life by her husbands, Emerson Coats, James Purvis and Billy Daughtry. Surviving Mrs. Daughtry include her children Mildred Twiggs, Valton Coats and wife, Cindy, Jimmy Coats and wife, Debra, Dennis Coats and wife, Betty Jo, Lois Barnes and husband, Tony, and Jean Hale and husband, Mike. Her expanded family includes ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great -great grandchild, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Two grandchildren (Keith Barnes & Mike Stallings) have deceased.

Also surviving Mrs. Daughtry are her sisters, Hilda Smith and husband, James, Doris Conrad, Katie Barbour and Grace Hargis. Mrs. Daughtry was preceded in her life by sisters, Ruby King, Madie Browning and brother, Roland McLamb.

Mrs. Daughtry was a Seamstress for 65+ years specializing in the design, construction and installation of Custom Drapes. She was member of the Dunn Advent Christian Church in Dunn, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC at 2:00PM on Monday, June 7, 2021. The family will receive guests from 1:00PM to 1:45PM, in advance of the funeral. Her burial will be at the Hills of Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield, NC immediately following the Funeral Services.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the Dunn Advent Christian Church, 700 E Pearsall Street, Dunn, NC 28334.
