Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Maggie Margilean "Margie" Allen Barbour, age 77, of Four Oaks went home to be with her Lord Friday at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunn. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2013 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Sean Bass. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens, Smithfield.
Mrs. Barbour was born October 20, 1935 in Johnston County to the late James Wilson "Bill" & Inez Benson Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Barbour, Step-Daughters, Joyce Lee and Jean Barber, Step-Son, J.L. Barbour and a Brother, Clifford Allen. Mrs. Barbour retired form Jerold Corporation and Bayer Laboratories. She was a homemaker and attended Central Baptist Church in Dunn.
Surviving are Daughters & Son-in-law, Frankie Lee of Dunn and Sandra Gail & William "Bil" Powers of Rhode Island; Step-Sons & Step-Daughters-in-law, Jimmy & Frances Barbour of Four Oaks and Glenn & Joanie Barbour of South Carolina; Grandchildren, Janele Cooper of Dunn, Frances Godwin of Four Oaks, & Heather Powers of Greensboro. Great-Grandchildren, Jonathan Cooper, Jarrett Cooper and Michael Ophus. Brother, Roosevelt Allen of Benson. 18 Step-Grandchildren and 25 Step-Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Family will receive friends Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 5:00PM- 7:00PM at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home of Janele Cooper 160 Stonehenge Drive, Dunn, NC 28334.
