Margaret Sue Mitchell Weldon

Four Oaks, NC: Ms. Margaret Sue Mitchell Weldon, age 83, of E. Sanders Street passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Graveside Services will be held 11:00AM - Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Gainus Sikes.

Ms. Weldon was born on February 16, 1939 in Johnston County, NC to the late Charles Aaron and Florence Smith Mitchell Boykin. She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Weldon, sisters and brother, Mary Evelyn Creech, Nancy Stewart, and Bill Mitchell. Ms. Weldon worked for Fieldcrest Mills in Smithfield for over 20 years and for Holt’s Lake BBQ and Seafood for 25 years. She was also a member of Corinth United Methodist Church.

Surviving include her daughter, Julie Hamilton and husband, David of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Joshua Hamilton and wife, Catherine of Nashville, TN, Amy Hamilton and fiancé, Billy Yankee of Oldsmar, Florida; great-grandchildren, Sarah Ann Yankee and William David Yankee; brothers, Jimmy Mitchell of Four Oaks, George Mitchell of California; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corinth United Methodist Woman Indian Mobile Mission, 4170 US Hwy 301 South Four Oaks, NC 27524.
