Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Margie S. Byrd, age 77 died Sunday afternoon at her residence. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday March 20, 2013 at Rose & Graham Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Kevin Edwards. Burial will follow in Barbour's Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Four Oaks. Mrs. Byrd was born August 25, 1935 in Johnston County to the late  Milton and Addie Stanley Slaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Byrd, Jr., Sisters, Ruby Stanley, Margaret "Doc" Bryant; Brothers, Milton Slaughter and W. E. Slaughter. Mrs. Byrd was a retired nurse and a member of Four Oaks Church of God. Surviving are Son and Daughter-in-law, Joe and Helen Byrd of Dunn; Grandsons, Joey and Jeremy Byrd of Dunn, Granddaughter, Kayla Beasley of Dunn; Sisters, Gladys Allen of Four Oaks, Mildred Blackmon of Raleigh; Several Nieces and Nephews. Family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
