Marguritte Adams Clifton

Benson, NC:  Mrs. Marguritte Adams Clifton, age 96, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab Center in Benson, NC.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Benson, NC. Rev. Billy Olsen will officiate.

Mrs. Clifton was born on August 18, 1926 in Johnston County, NC, to the late Percy E. and Gladys Coates Adams.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Fleetwood Adams and a sister, Melba A. Chandler.  Mrs. Clifton was a retired cosmetologist, and member of Benson Global Methodist Church in Benson, NC.  She supported and helped with local recovery programs for men and women.

Survivors include her sister, Sarah Adams Russell of Newnan, GA; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends 10:00AM – 10:45AM, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
