Marie Stewart McLamb

Angier, NC:  Mrs. Marie Stewart McLamb, age, 81 of 640 Greenleaf Road, died Monday, November 11, 2019, at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 15, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church Angier, NC. Officiating will be Revs. Jerry Peck and Mack Fowler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.                           Mrs. McLamb was born in Johnston County on October 28, 1938 to the late James Herbert and Rena Stanley Stewart. She worked along side her husband for many years helping him with the family business, McLamb Nursery. Mrs. McLamb was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where served in many capacities.                Surviving include her husband of  61 years, Thurman McLamb; children, James McLamb and wife, Melissa of Raleigh, Annette Hood and husband, Charles of Angier; grandchildren, Hannah D’Andrea and husband, Micah, Hunter Hood, Lillie Hood, Sara Beth McLamb, Jacob McLamb, Abigail McLamb; great-granddaughter, Lena Mae D’Andrea; sisters, Jean Johnson of Newton Grove, Evelyn Burbridge of Angier, Sue Hamilton of Willow Springs; several nieces and nephews.                The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church 416 Greenleaf Road Angier, NC 27501 and other times at the home.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church  Greenleaf Road Angier, NC 27501.
