Marjorie "Margie" Byrd

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Marjorie Lee "Margie" Allen Byrd, age 80 of 963 Berea Church Road died Monday, February 18, 2019 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.  Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC.  Burial will follow at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson, NC.   Revs. Billy Nowell and Joey Yow will officiate. Nanny was born on March 3, 1938 in Johnston County to the late Alonzo Gideon and Mattie Eliza Allen.  She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashlyn Wynn.  Nanny was a retired secretary with Gilbert Grady and Phil Shaw Attorneys. She also owned and operated Margie's Tax Service outside Four Oaks.   Surviving include her husband of 29 years, Troy Byrd, Jr.; children, Traci Wynn and husband, Gus; and Eddie Johnson and wife, Teresa all of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Wil Wynn, Matt Johnson, Lee Wynn, Reed Johnson and Caitlyn Wynn; one great-grandson, Jude Johnson; step-children, Pansy Grimes and husband, Rush of Willow Spring and Todd Byrd and wife, Kelly of Four Oaks;  five step-grandchildren and several cousins.              The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM,  Thursday, February 21, 2019 prior to the funeral service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC and other times at the home.    Condolences may be sent to the family at www.roseandgraham.com.
