Martha Ann KIng

Martha Ann King, born on February 13, 1975, in Wake County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones. A kind and loving woman, Ann devoted her life to touching the lives of children at The Goddard School in Fuquay-Varina, where her passion for working with kids was evident.

Throughout her life, Ann found joy in simple pleasures. Ann was a loving mother.  She cherished time spent at the beach, relishing the sensation of sand beneath her feet, and had a deep love for fishing. Her spirit radiated warmth and care to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ann is survived by her beloved sons, Scotty Jeremiah Wade King, II and Jimmy Menuis King, her dear granddaughter, Heaven-Leigh Rose, and her grandsons, Joseph and Eric, as well as her mother, Gail Gaskins. She is also loved by her brother, Richard Gaskins, and his wife, Carla, along with her nephew, Butch Gaskins. Her loving partner, Will Baker, will also carry her memory in his heart.

Ann is preceded in death by her father, Grady Menuis Gaskins, and her husband, Scott King.

In honor of Ann's life, her family has planned a Celebration of Her Life Pig Pickin on February 15 at her home, a fitting tribute to her loving spirit and the memories she created with those she held dear.
