Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Mary Carraway Cox, age 97, of Smithfield died Friday, December 21, 2012, at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. John I. Norman. Burial will follow in Knollwood Cemetery, Smithfield. Mrs. Cox was born August 7, 1915 in Greene County to the late Albert Lee and Clara Harris Carraway. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Cox, Jr. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Smithfield Advent Christian Church. Surviving include her Daughter & Son-In-Law, Carol & Frank Moore of Four Oaks; Granddaughter & Spouse, Christie M. & Jason Stephenson of Franklinton; Two Great Grandchildren, Hallie Stephenson and Gage Stephenson; Sisters, Bertha Parris of Stantonsburg, Dale Parrish of Smithfield, Joyce Campbell of Pikeville, and Jean Bradley of Smithfield. The Family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. Flowers are welcomed, however memorials may be made to Smithfield Advent Christian Church, 2777 NC 210 Highway, Smithfield, NC  27577.
