Mary Jane White Marshbanks

Buie's Creek, NC: Mrs. Mary Jane White Marshbanks, age 90, of Buie's Creek passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

Mary Jane, daughter of the late Lewis and Lena White, grew up in Cabarrus County, NC. After attending colleges in Mars Hill, Boone and Chapel Hill, she taught at Glen Alpine High School. Later she became an instructor at Campbell College in Buie's Creek. There she met her husband, Dr. Burgess Marshbanks, Jr. They were married in 1960. 

She is survived by her husband and their three daughters, Lynn Marshbanks (David Kelley), Alice Marshbanks and Ann Marie Benjamin (Adam); their grandchildren, Anna, Jonathan and Jane Kelley and Emma, Nathan, Lianna, Joshua, Eli, Olivia and Jenna Benjamin. She is also survived by her three younger sisters, Nancy Benedict, Bobbie Furr and Betty Krizek.
