Mary Weaver

Mrs. Mary Edna Byrd Weaver, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at her residence.  Graveside Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM-Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Hodges Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery outside Benson, NC. Revs. Kelvin Blackman and Curtiss Tatum will officiate.              Mrs. Weaver was born on October 29, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Roger Green and Lula Mae McLamb Byrd.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stanley Weaver and her sons-in-law, Kirby Eldred Allen and Steve Cameron Leonard. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Erma Byrd, Reba Stewart, Annie Ruth Ennis, Eloise Beasley, Ottis Byrd, Olden Byrd, R.G. Byrd, James Edison Byrd, and John Erwin Byrd. Mrs. Weaver was wife, mother, homemaker and member of Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Weaver loved all of her family and her friends.  She was known for always lending a helping hand to anyone in need.               Surviving include her daughters, Mary Ruth Weaver Leonard and Sylva Mae Weaver Allen, grandson, Jeremy Luke Allen and wife, Kimberly Rose and granddaughter, Sheena Marie Allen; many loving nieces and nephews.                  Mrs. Weaver will be available for viewing and you can sign the register book on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 9:00AM-1:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. The family will not be present during this time.              The family will receive friends following the graveside service.                           In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
