Coats, NC: Mr. Matthew James McLennan, age 30 passed away alongside his wife, Nancy Kathleen Williams, on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Memorial Services will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Coats. Rev. Donald Cain will officiate. Family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.

Matthew was born on December 9, 1992 in Cumberland County to the late Donald Lee, Sr. and Tina Marlene Landis McLennan. He was a bright young man, free spirited, and lived life to the fullest. Matthew was very protective over his family and friends. Matthew received his GED from Central Carolina Community College. He was in the process of improving his well-being for himself, his wife, and family and friends. Matthew will be deeply missed by his family.

Surviving is his son, Eithan Holt of Raleigh; sisters and brother, Sharon McLennan of Johnson City, TN, Donnie McLennan and wife, Maria of Spring Lake, Nikki McLennan and fiancé, Anthony Goodwin of Spring Lake; nieces and nephew, Isus and Ellis Otis, Lilliana Waldorf and Damian McLennan, and Rosalie Goodwin; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
