Maxine Byrd

Benson, NC: Ms. Maxine C. Byrd, age 93, of 851 Tarheel Rd. died Sunday, January 12, 2020. No services will be held at this time.             Ms. Byrd was born December 8, 1927 in Johnston County to the late P. A. and Louise Love Clifton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Birchel Byrd; sons, Dennis Byrd and Durran Byrd; and 6 siblings. She was a retired seamstress. Survivors are daughter, Becky Barefoot and husband Stephen, Jr. of Benson; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Danny Clifton and wife, Sherry.
