Benson, NC : Mrs. Mildred Louise Parrish Miller, age 87, of 699 Miller Road died Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Friday, December 12, 2014, at Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Condary Ellis, Rev. Curtiss Tatum, and Rev. Jerry Edwards. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born January 12, 1927 in Johnston County to the late Howard and Tobitha Suggs Parrish. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ernestine Guy, and a brother, Dan Parrish. She was a homemaker and a member of Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving include her husband of 69 years, T. C. Miller; daughter, Phyllis Porter and husband, David, of Raleigh; son, Terry Miller and wife, Ann, of Angier; sister, Sonja Barbour and husband, Ben, of Four Oaks; brother, Wayne Parrish and wife, Shirley, of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Betty Parrish of Benson; brother-in-law, Reggie Guy of Raleigh; grandchildren & spouses, Jeffrey Miller of Benson, Stephen & Jamie Porter of Kinston, Shannon & Rodney Eason of Benson, and Ashley & Crissy Porter of Raleigh; great grandchildren, Amanda Johnson and husband, Zack, Ashlynn Eason, Margot, Silas, Haywood, Jane, and Olivia Porter; and special family, Rev. Jerry Edwards and wife, Joy, and children, Joy Ruth, Steven, Jonathan, and Jeremy.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, December 11, 2014.
