Muriel Benson

Benson: Mrs. Muriel Barbour Benson, age 83, of 1156 Stephenson Road died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Revs. David Langley and Aubrey Williamson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.             Mrs. Benson was born October 17, 1928 in Johnston County to the late William and Nellie Johnson Barbour.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Othell Benson; sister, Vera B. Hargis; and brothers, Joseph Barbour, Leon Barbour, and Vaden Barbour.  Mrs. Benson was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Grove OFWB Church.             Surviving are daughter, Teresa Lynn Benson of Benson; and nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday, November 28, 2011. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s OFWB Church, c/o Cathy Langdon, 7151 Raleigh Road, Benson, NC  27504.
