Nancy Mitchell Stewart

Four Oaks, NC:  Mrs. Nancy Mitchell Stewart, age 83, of Peach Orchard Road passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Graveside Service will be 11:00AM Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Bud Cameron.   Mrs. Stewart was born in Johnston County on July 24, 1937 to the late Aaron and Florence Smith Mitchell.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Creech; and her brother, Bill Mitchell. Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker and a life-long member of Corinth United Methodist Church where she directed and sang in the choir. She was a faithful servant of God and loved all her family, friends, and neighbors. Mrs. Stewart was loved by all who knew her. She worked at Fieldcrest Mills for 30 years and Holts Lake BBQ and Seafood for 20 years. Surviving include her husband of 47 years, Bill Stewart; children, Jennifer Parker and husband, Neal of Jacksonville, FL, Brenda Corbett and husband, David of Four Oaks, Harold Parker and Kimberly Brown of Princeton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Weldon of Four Oaks; brothers, Jimmy Mitchell of Four Oaks and George Mitchell of California; several nieces and nephews. The Stewart Family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corinth United Methodist Church, 4170 Hwy 301 South Four Oaks, NC 27524; Smithfield Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 681 Smithfield, NC 27577; or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 50 Memphis, TN 38101. In Accordance with NC-COVID -19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
