Nettie Catherine Minshew

Ms. Nettie Catherine “Cathy” Minshew, age 73 passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Memorial Services will be held 11:00AM, Saturday November 9, 2024 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Carole McCartney will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC. 

Ms. Minshew was born on August 14, 1951 in Wake County, NC, to the late Joseph P. and Mary Lee Woodall Minshew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Augustine and Debbie Minshew, and a niece, Sonya Starr Rose. Ms. Minshew retired from the North Carolina Employment Security Commission in Computer Operations with 30 years of service. She loved her family, shopping, gardening, outdoors and watching movies. Her nieces and nephews were loved as if they were her own children. 

Survivors include her brother, Mike Minshew and wife, Kay; special nieces and nephews, Jessica Renn Rose, Katelynn Walker, Tyler Freeman, Michelle Minshew, Jon Minshew, Leslie Hawley, and Patrick Augustine; several great-nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 9:45AM-10:45AM, Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
