Norman Wallace

Mr. Norman Darrell Wallace, age 77, of 6640 NC Hwy 50 North died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his home. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Dr. Billy Cashwell and Rev. Glenn McCullen.  Burial will follow in Benson Grove Church Cemetery.     Mr. Wallace was born January 4, 1936 in Johnston County to the late William R. and Ina Rose Wallace.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Stephenson Wallace; infant sons, Jimmy Wallace & Donald Wallace; son-in-law, Bennie F. Smith; sister, Clara Allen; and brothers, Rufus Wallace, Ray Wallace, Doc Wallace, Holton Wallace, and Bobby Wallace.  Mr. Wallace was a brick mason and a member of Benson Grove Baptist Church.    Surviving are daughters & son-in-law, Sue Ellen Smith of Benson and Norma Kay & Tim Green of Benson; son & daughter-in-law, Ronald & Susan Wallace of Benson; sisters, Helen Smith of Benson; Martha Yates of Sneads Ferry, Linda Joyner of Franklinton, and Reba Carden of Raleigh; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 1 step-granddaughter.    The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday and other times at the home of Ronald & Susan Wallace, 6710 NC Hwy 50 North, Benson.    The family expresses their thanks and gratitude to Hospice of Wake County, especially to special caregivers, Marnie Peacock and Alicia Hairre.
