Pamela "Pam" Rose Wood

Four Oaks, NC: Ms. Pamela Rose Wood, age 76, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC, following a brief illness. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Blackman’s Grove Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC. Rev. Rodney Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Ms. Wood was born on March 9, 1948 in Harnett County, NC, to the late Earl Van and Olive Barefoot Wood. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sandra Cornelia Wood. A graduate of Four Oaks High School, she continued her education at Mount Olive Junior College where she received her AA Degree, continuing at Appalachian State University with a BS in Library Science, and received her Master’s in Library Science from North Carolina Central University. She served as the Assistant Librarian, and retired as the Director of Library Services at the University of Mount Olive with Emeriti Status with a total of 53 years of service. She was a faithful member of Blackman’s Grove Baptist Church where she served in many capacities. 

Survivors include several loving cousins. 

The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Blackman’s Grove Baptist Church.
