Patsy Carol Barbour Bazan

Benson, NC: Mrs. Patsy Carol Barbour Bazan, age 70, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Wake Medical Hospital in Raleigh, NC, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Elevation Global Methodist Church in Benson, NC. Rev. Billy Olsen will officiate. 

Patsy was born on December 14, 1953 in Harnett County, NC to the late Billie Barbour and Wilma McLamb Barbour. A dedicated wife and nurturing mother, Patsy’s home was always filled with love. She was a caretaker at heart, always looking after the needs of her family and friends. Her kindness and compassion extended beyond her home as she dedicated herself to her career as a medical records professional. As a grandparent, Patsy was enthusiastic and loving, always showering her five grandsons with affection and creating cherished memories. Annual trips and gatherings with her college friends, the “ECU Babes”, were highlights of her year, filled with laughter, enjoying the deep bonds of lifelong friendship.

Patsy was a lifelong member of the Elevation Methodist Church community, where her faith and devotion were cornerstones of her life. She served in numerous roles, including Children’s Choir Director, Sunday school member, choir member, and on various committees and service positions. Her service and dedication to the church were a testament to her unwavering faith and her desire to make a positive impact on her community. Music was one of Patsy’s greatest passions. She found joy in playing hymns on the piano, singing and humming, always filling her home and church with music. Her garden and flower beds were another source of joy and pride. 

Surviving includes her husband of 46 years, Daniel “Dan” Hancock Bazan; son, Stephen Bazan and wife, Amanda; daughter, Kasey McComas; grandsons, Elijah, Isaac, Ezra, Emmet, Nathan; brother, Tony Barbour and wife, Jeanne; sister, Donna Hall and husband, Gary. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-2:45PM-on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Elevation Methodist Church in Benson, NC.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Elevation Methodist Church.
